Summary
In 1981, the National Nutrition Monitoring Bureau collected data on food consumption, physical measurements, observations of nutritional disorders, and information on employment and income from 2,940 households in rural and urban areas. The data were collected through in person interviews and anthropometric measurements.
Measurements of height, weight, arm circumference, and skinfold at the tricep were taken. Visual observations of conditions such as goiter, dental carries, Vitamin A deficiency, and Vitamin B deficiency were also noted and tabulated for infants through adults.
