Summary
The Columbia Demographic and Health Survey 2000 was part of phase 4 of the DHS series, a comprehensive, nationally representative household survey which covers population, education, health, nutrition, family planning and household characteristics.
11,585 women from 10,797 households were surveyed. Anthropomorphic measurements were taken of 4,561 children under the age of 5 and their mothers. As part of the survey, optometrists gave eye exams to children ages 6 to 11 and household members over the age of 50.
