Summary
The 2006 report from Poland's National Cancer Registry, KRN (in Polish and English), presents data on counts and rates for total cancer deaths by year for 1963-2006, and more detailed data on larynx, corpus uteri, kidney, and thyroid cancer. Numbers and rates for incidence and mortality in 2006 are given by cancer site, sex, and 5-year age group as well as by site, sex, and voivodeship; MI ratios by sex and site or voivodeship for 2006 are included as well. Finally, some data on 5-year relative survival are presented for diagnoses from 1999-2002. Data was provided by 16 subnational cancer registries; registration is uneven among provinces, however, and overall underregistration for the country is estimated at about 9% for 2006.
