This annual publication is produced by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the Civil Registry and Identification (SRC) and the Ministry of Health (MINSAL) of Chile. Information includes the vital statistics of the population for the year: births, deaths, and marriages, with the previous year's population data for comparison. Also covered are topics such as educational attainment, employment, birth order, and residence of citizens. Population data are based on the 1992 census and are broken out by gender and 5-year age groups.
