Statistics Iceland provides summary statistics on a number of indicators through customizable tables. The healthcare personnel data can be downloaded by year, personnel type, and number of personnel or number of country inhabitants per employee. The table is available in the Health services section under Health, social affairs, and justice.

The Directorate of Health gathers the health personnel data from a number of sources including the Icelandic Dentist's Association, the Register of Dentists, inpatient care institutions, health centers, the State Social Security Institute, the Register of Physicians, and the Icelandic Association of Social Workers.
