Summary
The baseline study for the Turkish Adult Risk Factor Study (also called TEKHARF), a longitudinal survey of cardiovascular health, was established in 1990. It expanded in scope through successive waves. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of coronary heart disease and cardiovascular risk factors in a random sample of Turkish adults.
