Summary
The Singapore Renal Registry collects data for patients receiving renal replacement therapy or approaching end-stage renal failure (ESRD). Data on new and existing patients are collected from health institutions and transplant centers. In 2007, the Singapore General Hospital, which registers about half of all cases, began submitting ESRD cases to the registry based on the following measurement: when a patient's estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is less than 15ml/min. Previously, all health centers provided lists of cases for patients with serum creatinine levels greater than 10 mg/dl.
This report provides tabulations on incidence, prevalence, and survival for dialysis and transplant patients.
