Summary 

The National Nutrition Monitoring Bureau administered diet and nutrition surveys to assess nutritional status of rural populations since 1972. This survey covered the same areas from an earlier survey in 1975-1979 and investigated change in diet and nutritional status of the regions. Data were collected through a 24 hour recall questionnaire and anthropometric measurements.
