Summary
In adopting the 2001 Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS, UN member states are required to submit country progress reports to the UNAIDS Secretariat every two years. The UNAIDS Secretariat has the responsibility for developing the reporting process, accepting reports from member states, and preparing a report for the UN General Assembly. Data for the report come from the Ministry of Health, the statistical office, other government ministries, and from studies and survey results.
