Summary
This report studied approximately 2,000 deaths of Honduran women ages 10 to 49 in 2010. Out of this total, 159 were considered maternal deaths. Data were analyzed using RAMOS methodology, and estimates were compared to rates in 1990 and 1997. The 2010 report is part of the RAMNI program (Accelerated Reduction of Maternal and Child Mortality), coordinated by AECID (Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development) and the government of Honduras.
