Summary
Part of the International Labor Organization's Statistical Information and Monitoring Program on Child Labor (SIMPOC), the Child Labor Survey was conducted in multiple countries around the world to measure and describe characteristics of child labor at a country level.
In the Ukraine, children and their parents were asked to respond to questionnaires discussing the child's home life, education, employment status and reasons for employment, working conditions, and health care. Nearly 34,000 households with children aged 5-17 years old were surveyed, drawn from a nationally-representative stratified sample (excluding residents living near Chernobyl). Both parent and child questionnaires are included in appendices to the survey report.
