The German Environmental Survey (GerES III) was conducted in coordination with the Germany National Health Interview and Examination Survey (BGS 1998); a subsample of the BGS was selected to participate in the Environmental Survey, in which environmental measurements were collected through tests of blood, urine, and drinking water.
