Summary

The Turkey Verbal Autopsy Survey 2003 was conducted as part of the Turkey National Burden of Disease and Cost-Effectiveness Study (NBD-CE Study). The sample for this survey came from the Turkey World Health Survey (WHS), which was also part of the NBD-CE project. However, this verbal autopsy survey did not use the standard World Health Organization verbal autopsy questionnaire used by some other countries as part of the World Health Survey. Turkey developed its own questionnaire for this survey.
