The Hospital and Ambulatory Information Reporting (CIHA) database contains records of inpatient and outpatient care provided to private health insurance beneficiaries. The CIHA database complements the Hospital Information System (SIH) and Ambulatory Information System (SIA) databases, which cover care financed by the Unified Health System (SUS), the public health system in Brazil.
