Summary
This report contains hospital discharge data for inpatient and day cases. Data are from the New Zealand National Minimum Dataset collection. For each ICD-10 chapter and 3-digit code, the report contains the average length of stay, and number of discharges by sex and 5-year age group. Similarly detailed data are given for surgical procedures. Separate tables also break out statistics for the Maori and Pacific Islands populations.
