Summary
The 2005-2006 South Africa Income and Expenditure Survey collected data on income and household expenses from September 2005 to August 2006. The primary purpose of this survey was to determine the Consumer Price Index. The 2005-2006 survey was the first to include a diary component. The survey also included water source, housing construction materials and type of housing. Data are available on request from the South Africa Data Archive (SADA).
