Summary

Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 1974 Saudi Arabia de facto census was the country's second census. Notable populations included in the census were Saudis living abroad and a significant portion of the nomadic population. The reference period was September 9-14. It should be noted that there has been some controversy about the accuracy of the data for this census.

Population totals, the census training manual, and other documents related to the census are available from libraries through Worldcat.
