Summary 

The 2004 Household Health Expenditure Survey conducted in Palestine collected data on household expenditures and consumption, demographic characteristics, health care use and history, and socioeconomic indicators. The survey aimed to evaluate the quality and utilization of health services provided, and to examine the household share of health expenditures. Data were collected through interviews using household-level questionnaires. The targeted sample population consisted of individuals ages 18 years and older. The survey successfully interviewed 4,014 individuals, of which 2,663 were from West Bank and 1,351 resided in the Gaza Strip.
