The survey was designed to complement the <a href="//ghdx.healthdata.org/record/rwanda-demographic-and-health-survey-2005" target="_blank">2005 Rwanda Demographic and Health Survey.</a> For the 2007 Rwanda SPA, 420 health facilities were successfully surveyed. Facilities surveyed included hospitals, health centers and polyclinics, dispensaries, health posts, and clinics offering HIV/AIDS-related services. Targeted areas of assessment were facility infrastructure, resources and services for family planning, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, child health, and maternal health.
