The census was originally scheduled for May 16th - June 30th 2010, but was postponed before the legal authority for the conduct of the census was passed. It was conducted as part of the CARICOM Secretariat’s regionally coordinated approach to census taking for the 2010 Round. A pilot survey in Trinidad was conducted from August 17th - 31st, and in Tobago from August 31st - September 14th, 2011.
