The first National Health and Nutrition Survey took place in 2006 and incorporated components from previous National Nutrition Surveys conducted in 1988 and 1999. The 2016 midway survey (ENSANUT MC) was conducted in order to monitor and identify health and nutrition issues and take timely action accordingly. The 2018 ENSANUT was conducted to provide updates on health and nutrition condition indicators and their social determinants.
