The 2021-2022 Uzbekistan Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey was completed in two rounds. The first round in March - June 2021 was interrupted by several factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and subsequently a new representative sample was selected in September 2021 with data collection conducted between November 2021 - January 2022. The first round interviewed 10,879 households. In the second round, 4,180 households were interviewed from a sample of 4,507 selected from the same clusters as the first round. 

The survey consisted of four questionnaires: a household questionnaire to collect basic demographic information, a questionnaire for individual women aged 15-49, an under-5 questionnaire, and a questionnaire for children aged 5-17. Questionnaires in the two rounds were similar though some modules were not included in round 2.

The Nigeria Multiple Cluster Indicator Survey (MICS) 2021 is part of MICS5, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. MICS provides data for tracking progress toward Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the 2021 Nigeria MICS, 38,806 women and 17,347 men ages 15-19 were successfully interviewed from 39,632 households. Additionally, 30,806 questionnaires for children under five, and 22,443 for children age 5-17 were completed. In a subsample of households, water quality testing was conducted for the presence of E. Coli. A supplemental sample of 337 clusters and 6,740 households was selected for the National Immunization Coverage Survey (NICS), for which only the household questionnaire and child immunization module of the questionnaire for children under 5 were administered in order to increase the combined sample of children and improve the level of precision for the immunization indicators.

The sample for the Viet Nam MICS6 / SDGCW Survey 2020-2021 was designed to provide estimates for a large number of indicators on the situation of children and women at the national level, for urban and rural areas, for the six regions (Red River Delta, Northern Midlands and Mountainous Area, North Central and Central Coastal Area, Central Highlands, South East, and Mekong River Delta), for two big cities (Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh) and for the ethnic minorities. The sample respondents include 13,359 households, 10,770 women (aged 15-49), 5,923 men (aged 15-49) along with interviews with 4,329 caretakers for children under 5 and 6,894 caretakers of children aged 5-17. The survey also included household water quality testing.

The MICS 2019-20 is a nationally representative sample survey encompassing a total of 26,882 households; involving women age 15-49 years, men age 15-49 years and children 0-5 years in 1,111 clusters. One third of the households in the sample were selected for male survey. The survey has been designed to provide estimates of key indicators for the rural and urban areas in Malawi, the three Regions, and the 28 districts. The Argentina 2019-2020 MICS was conducted as part of Round 6 of the survey series. Topics covered include child health and mortality, nutrition, sanitation, reproductive health, education, child protection, and HIV/AIDS.

A total of 14,968 households responded to the survey. Four questionnaires were used, including: one for households, one for women between the ages of 15 and 49 years, one for children ages 5 to 17, and one for children under the age of 5 years, completed by mothers or caregivers. This survey was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and field work was halted before all households were reached.

Six questionnaires were used in the survey: 1) a household questionnaire; 2) a water quality testing questionnaire administered in five households in each cluster of the sample; 3) women age 15-49 years; 4) men administered in every second--i.e. every other--household to all men age 15-49 years; 5) an under-5 questionnaire, administered to mothers (or caretakers) of all children under 5 living in the household; and 6) a questionnaire for children age 5-17 years, administered to the mother (or caretaker) of one randomly selected child age 5-17 years living in the household. 7,072 households were successfully interviewed for a household response rate of 94 percent. In the interviewed households, 5,887 women (age 15-49 years) were interviewed along with 2,214 eligible men and questionnaires completed for 2,801 children under age five. Questionnaires were also completed for 3,248 children ages 5-17.
