The survey data provides estimates for all six districts of the country, as well as urban and rural areas separately. The survey used three questionnaires:

  • A household questionnaire collected basic demographic information on household members and covered topics such as education, water supply, sanitation, disability, and iodine supplements.

Part of MICS3, the 2005 Belarus Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey was a nationally representative health interview survey with an emphasis on the health of children and women, education, vaccination, and contraceptive use. The survey is also representative at the subnational level. Questionnaires were completed for 6,707 households, 5,895 women ages 15-49 and 3,051 under-five children. The 2005 Belarus MICS included three questionnaires:

  • A household questionnaire that collected basic information on household members, as well as covering topics such as housing conditions, water supply, and sanitation.
  • An individual women’s questionnaire that included topics such as child mortality, maternal health, contraceptive use, and health literacy.
  • A questionnaire that collected information about children under-five in surveyed households. The collection information relating to child development, breastfeeding, immunization, health care for children, and child anthropometry.

Part of the first round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, the 1996 Angola MICS was a nationally representative household survey that collected information relating to the health of women and children. Estimates are possible for the national level, urban and rural areas separately, as well as six geographically defined regions that include multiple provinces. Interviews were carried out in 4,337 households, collecting data on topics such as demography, education, maternal and infant health, nutrition, water supply, and sanitation.

UNICEF has published some of the reports from MICS1, but the MICS1 microdata have not been made available.

The sampling frame was based on the 1998 Population and Housing Census, with a sample size of 29,478 households. The survey utilized three questionnaires:

  • A household questionnaire including modules for education, economic activity, water and sanitation, and housing  conditions.
  • A questionnaire for individual women aged 15-49 years covering topics such as marital status, tetanus toxoid vaccination, maternal care, contraceptive use, and health literacy.
