The India Human Development Survey (IHDS) is a nationally representative survey of 41,554 households, 13,900 of which were interviewed in 1993-1994 in a previous survey by the National Council of Applied Economic Research, in India. Topics covered include health, education, employment, economic status, marriage, fertility, gender relations, and social capital. Village, school, and health facility interviews were also conducted as part of this survey, as well as anthropometric measurements of children under 5 and ages 8-11, and their mothers.

The purpose of the National Manpower Stock And Employment Generation Survey was to collect employment, unemployment, and occupational profile data for Nigeria. The 2010 survey serves as a baseline for evaluation of policy and programs including career planning and job seeking.

Two separate questionnaires were used in the survey; one for households and the other for small businesses. A total of 76,640 households and 75,925 businesses successfully completed the questionnaire.
