The MarketScan Medicare Supplemental and Coordination of Benefits Database is a research database owned by Truven Health Analytics. It reflects the healthcare of retirees with Medicare supplemental insurance paid by employers. Sample data elements include demographic data (age, gender, employment status, geographic location), inpatient and outpatient medical information (admission date and type, principal  and secondary diagnosis codes, discharge status, major diagnostic category, principal and secondary procedure codes, DRGs, length of stay, place of service, and quantity of services), financial information (total and net payments, payments to physician, hospital, and total admission payments), drug information (generic product ID, average wholesale price, prescription drug payment, therapeutic class, days supplied, national drug code, refill number, and therapeutic group), and enrollment information.

The National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) is based on outpatient, office-based visits to physicians engaged in direct patient care and is designed to collect data on the provision and use of ambulatory care services.  It is a national sample of nonfederally employed physicians and excludes subspecialists in anesthesiology, pathology, and radiology. The 2016 survey included a supplementary survey called the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services for Office-based Physicians (National CLAS Physician Survey). The purpose of the National CLAS Physician Survey is to understand the provision of culturally and linguistically appropriate services among office-based physicians.
