Summary:

The COVID-19 Health Services Disruption Survey 2020 is a series of surveys developed to assess the level of disruption to a range of health services resulting from the COVID-19 global pandemic and subsequent government mandates and changes in behavior to mitigate the spread of the disease.

This survey was conducted in 76 countries using the smartphone-based Premise data collection platform. Respondents were individual members of the general population ages 15-49 years who identified as women. Data were collected from 12,354 respondents. The survey focused on the level of disruption to family planning and reproductive health services and changes in risk of gender-based violence.

The survey was developed specifically to assess the change in levels of service delivery prior to, and immediately following, the onset of the COVID-19 global pandemic. Data generated from this survey is not intended to be used as an overall estimate of the level of health service delivery.

Summary:

The sample for the 2019 Turkmenistan MICS was designed to provide estimates for a large number of indicators on the situation of children and women at the national level, for urban and rural areas, and for 6 regions: Ashgabat city, Akhal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats. The urban and rural areas within each region were identified as the main sampling strata and the sample of households was selected in two stages.

Four questionnaires were used in the survey: 1) a household questionnaire to collect basic demographic information on all de jure household members, the household, and the dwelling; 2) a questionnaire for individual women administered in each household to all women age 15-49 years; 3) an under-5 questionnaire, administered to mothers (or caretakers); and 4) a questionnaire for children age 5-17 years, administered to the mother (or caretaker) of one randomly selected child age 5-17 years living in the household.

Summary:

The sample for the Tonga MICS 2019 was designed to provide estimates for a large number of indicators on the situation of children and women at the national level, for urban and rural areas, and for divisions: Tongatapu, Vava’u, Ha’apai, ‘Eua and Ongo Niua. The urban and rural areas were identified as the main sampling strata and the sample of households was selected in two stages. Within each stratum, a specified number of census enumeration areas were selected systematically with probability proportional to size. After a household listing was carried out within the selected enumeration areas, a systematic sample of 20 households was drawn.

All of the selected enumeration areas were visited during the fieldwork data collection. The sampling frame was based on the 2016 Tonga Census of Population and Housing. It was calculated that 139 sample clusters would need to be selected in total.

Summary:

The Nigeria Multiple Cluster Indicator Survey (MICS) 2016-2017 is part of MICS5, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. MICS provides data for tracking progress toward Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the 2016-2017 Nigeria MICS, 34,376 women and 15,183 men ages 15-19 were successfully interviewed from 33,901 households. Additionally, 28,085 questionnaires for children under five were completed. In a subsample of households, water quality testing was conducted for the presence of E. Coli. The Nigeria 2016-2017 MICS sample was not sufficient to estimate vaccination coverage for children ages 12-23 months, so a supplemental data collection, known as the National Immunization Coverage Survey (NICS), was undertaken in twenty states: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Imo, Kogi, Kwara, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers and FCT (Abuja).
