The self-completed questionnaire collected information on students' health status, health behaviors, physical activity, sexual behavior, and substance use. The use of a standardized questionnaire allows for data analysis at the national level as well as comparison of data across countries.

The total sample size for the survey was 213,595 students. The sample size for the United Kingdom was 15,749 students.
