Summary

The National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles (NATSAL) 2010-2012, like the earlier two NATSAL surveys, was conducted to improve understanding of risk factors associated with HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. NATSAL III included several additional modules and incorporated more biological sampling and testing.

Out of a sample of 15,000 adults, a total of 15,162 individuals ages 16-74 were successfully interviewed.

Topics covered in the survey included: basic sociodemographic characteristics, relationships, sexual behavior, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, reproductive health, and attitudes towards different sexual lifestyles.
