The African Migration and Remittances Household Surveys were carried out in six countries to collect comparable data on internal and international migration and to measure the amount of remittances received. The Uganda Migration Household Survey 2010 was a single-round, cross-sectional survey that was implemented as part of the survey series.

Out of a sample of 2,000 households, a total of 1,872 were successfully interviewed.

In addition to questions on migration and remittances, the survey covered sociodemographic characteristics, housing conditions, household assets and expenditures, use of financial services, and labor force participation.
