Summary 

In 1997, a survey program was initiated to analyze the impact of the DISH project in Uganda. The program consisted of the 1997 household and health facility surveys, the 1999 household and health facility surveys, and the 2002 facility survey.

In 2002, a facility survey was administered to assess the DISH project and the population data from the 2000-2001 DHS took place of a household survey. In addition to a facility assessment survey, observation studies were also done for antenatal and curative child care services. 316 facilities were surveyed and 887 observations of client-provider interaction were completed.
