The GATS is designed to produce national and subnational estimates on tobacco use. The Turkey GATS provides information on tobacco use, cessation, second-hand smoke, and knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions towards tobacco. The survey also covers basic sociodemographic characteristics. The sample size for the 2016 GATS in Turkey was 11,200 households and 8,760 individuals completed interviews.
