The Survey of Health, Aging and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) is a multi-country longitudinal study of aging in Europe. The second round took place primarily in 2006 and 2007, with data collection in Israel in 2009 and 2010. Wave 2 included a main questionnaire that included 20 modules on health status and behaviors, biomarkers including body mass index, mental health, economic status, and social support.

A total of 34,415 adults from 14 European countries and Israel took part in Wave 2 of the SHARE study.
