The 1999 Southern Sudan Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) is Part of MICS2, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. Topics commonly covered in MICS include child and maternal health, family planning, health care access, education attainment, housing conditions, immunization, and health literacy. For the 1999 Southern Sudan MICS, data were successfully collected from 4,300 households from 6 states in the southern area of Sudan.
