The Sri Lanka Annual Health Bulletin 2006 is produced by the Medical Statistics Unit of the Department of Health Services in the Ministry of Health. The report covers the national healthcare system, including number and types of health care facilities; educational requirements for medical personnel; and government expenditures by program. Morbidity and mortality numbers are provided for noncommunicable diseases. The report also publishes service utilization figures such as provision of services to patients by district and type of facility. Some minor supplementary information from the Sri Lanka Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) 2006-2007 can be found in the appendix.
