Summary

The Survey of Health, Aging and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) is a multi-country longitudinal study of aging in Europe. Wave 4 took place primarily in 2011, with some data collection in 2010 and 2012. Wave 4 was the third regular panel wave of the survey, following the SHARELIFE survey in Wave 3. It included a main questionnaire that included 20 modules on health status and behaviors, self-reported height and weight, mental health, economic status, and social support.

Further information on SHARE survey methodology is available on the SHARE website.
