Summary 

The October Household Survey (OHS) 1999 was conducted as part of an annual series that began in 1993. The sample covered all population groups and included 140,000 individuals living in 30,000 households.

The OHS covered employment, unemployment, and the informal labor market. In addition, the survey provided information on households, dwellings, births, deaths, migration, access to health and social services, safety and well-being of the household, and perceived quality of life.
