Summary 

The North Korea Multiple Cluster Indicator Survey (MICS) 1998 is part of MICS1, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. MICS provides data for tracking progress toward Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), particularly those related to health, education and mortality. For the 1998 North Korea MICS, data was gathered from household interviews of 2,957 women of reproductive age (15-49), caretakers of 1,887 children under 7 and 2,319 children age 7-17.
