Summary 

The first wave of the Household Risk and Vulnerability Survey of Nepal was conducted in 2016. Data were collected with household and community questionnaires using Computer Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI). The household questionnaire included 16 modules covering housing details, education, health, access to facilities, food production and expenditures, other household expenditures, employment, agriculture, migration, economics, public and private social assistance, shocks, and anthropometry. The community questionnaire collected data on community characteristics, facility access, educational facilities, shocks, and prices. A total of 6,000 households were sampled.
