Summary

The 2010-2011 National Oral Health Survey was the first of its kind conducted in Namibia. The survey assessed the oral health status and treatment needs of adults and children through examinations. The survey also monitored oral health trends and examined the knowledge, attitudes, and oral health practices of participants.

Data were collected from adult and children through two questionnaires and oral exams. The survey took place in schools that were randomly drawn from local education authorities and adult participants were drawn from the surrounding area. The survey canvassed children ages 5-6, age 12 and age 15, and adults ages 34-45 and 65-74. A total of 3,824 individuals participated overall.
