Summary

This survey was a random probability sample of all women aged 15-44, developed through a two-stage sample involving the random selection of enumeration districts and of respondents within each cluster of households. All households within chosen enumeration districts were selected, but a random table was used to identify which eligible respondents in each household to interview. Only one eligible woman was interviewed per household, and a total of 389 women were interviewed. The survey covered contraceptive awareness, contraceptive use, and family planning programs.

The International Planned Parenthood Federation, Western Hemisphere Region published a report on the survey titled Contraceptive Prevalence in Monserrat, the second in a series titled IPPF/WHR Caribbean Contraceptive Prevalence Surveys. Some libraries may be able to procure this report through the interlibrary loan system.
