Summary

The Kenya Standardized Monitoring and Assessment in Relief and Transition (SMART) surveys were conducted to assess malnutrition prevalence in children ages 6-59 months. Data were collected on mortality, anthropometry, vitamin A supplements, maternal health care, and food consumption.

For the 2012 survey in Kwale county, household interviews were conducted in September of that year in Kwale, Msambweni and Kinango districts using a two-stage cluster sampling method.
