Summary

The 2007 Jamaica Survey of Living Conditions (JSLC) collected data to provide information for policy development for the Jamaican government. A total of 1,994 non-institutional dwellings participated. The sample was a randomized sub-set of approximately one-third of the previous Labour Force survey (LFS) in an effort to data linkage between survey series. The questionnaire covered topics such as demographics, education, housing, social welfare, health, and expenditures. The JSLC typically includes a special focus topic in each questionnaire, however the 2007 effort did not contain a focused module.
