Summary

Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 1995 Israel de jure census collected data through self-enumeration on the subjects of housing, household demographics, employment, fertility, migration, and education. The census day was November 4, 1995, though fieldwork began in October. Coverage of the census was 99.30% of the population. A 10% sample of households from the census (556,365 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Dwellings and vacant units are not available in the microdata sample. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
