The SFMS covered over one million households nationally, with the exception of Jammu, Kashmir, and rural units in Nagaland. Tables present fertility and mortality data by age, sex, region, religion, education level, marital status, and social class.

Some libraries may be able to procure the report for this survey through the interlibrary loan system.
