Summary

The annual India National Health Profile (NHP) is a compilation of national and state health statistics produced annually by the Central Bureau of Health Intelligence (CBHI). The NHP covers demographic, socioeconomic, health status, health finance, and health infrastructure indicators and summations.

The 2016 report of the NHP includes information and prevalence on noncommunicable diseases in India, progress towards Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the outcome of a GIS pilot program to assess and map all health facilities in India, a reformatted Health Financing chapter, and new tables on Iodine Deficiency and Fluorosis. Some demographic tables include projections through 2026.
