This population-based survey gathered data from 4,700 respondents, 30 years and older. Respondents underwent a physical examination at a hospital. An interview-based questionnaire filled out by trained social workers included questions on respondents' socioeconomic background, living conditions, nutrition habits, lifestyle risk facors, and specific medical conditions, with a special focus on eye diseases.
