Summary

The Coverage Evaluation Survey (CES) 2007 measured routine immunization of children, as well as levels of maternal care. For the CES 2007 a sample of 22,888 women were interviewed across India, focusing on mothers with children aged 12-23 months and mothers who had given birth in the reference period. The survey focused primarily on immunization coverage and services, antenatal and postnatal care, and utilization of maternal health services.

The CES was designed to report at the state level for 22 states, and at an aggregated level for the 7 northeast states (except Assam) and the Union Territories.
