Summary

The survey measured the changes in use and knowledge of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) since the survey in 2004. The survey sample included women of reproductive age (15-49) who were pregnant or were caring for children under age five in 1,796 Ghanaian households. The survey includes households in urban and rural areas from six sites: Accra, Ashanti, Central, Northern, Upper West, and Volta. The final report compares the results of ownership and knowledge of ITNs and usage. In addition to bednets, the survey covered insecticide use, indoor residual spraying, and asks for information on knowledge of malaria.
