Summary

European Surveillance of Congenital Anomalies, or EUROCAT, is a network of population based registries for congenital anomalies in Europe. The network collects data from 43 registries in 23 countries. An estimated 29 percent of births in the European population are covered by the network. Cases and rates for 96 congenital anomaly subgroups are provided by registry, and data are available back to 1980.

The prevalence data tables published by EUROCAT are updated biannually; please see the individual country records linked through the EUROCAT system record for more detailed information on coverage and years.
