In Bolivia these national surveys, known variously as Encuesta Continua de Hogares or Encuesta de Hogares, were executed under the MECOVI program from 1999-2002 and the National Institute for Statistics has continued to carry out similar household surveys on an annual basis. In 2000 living conditions were measured through data collection on subjects of health and health care access, fertility, employment, income, expenditures, education, basic services, and housing. The sample size was 5, 032 households.
